The environment is undoubtedly war’s silent victim. Throughout history, every conflict, every war has left behind casualties, most of which we remember as being human, leaving governments and citizens with an immeasurable price to pay for years to come. The effects on the land, air and water are not always taken into account, but in all its stages, from weapon assembly, to combat, cleanup and restoration, war spawns actions that contaminate and devastate biodiversity and natural resources. This documentary exposes the numerous ways in which such devastation has occurred, from the Vietnam War with agent orange to the current conflicts developing around the world. This is a smart and daunting documentary that is absolutely crucial in order to fully understand the great cost of war on our health and planet.
