Can one woman on a yellow bike change our automobile driven cities? Manager of the Bike Share Program in Toronto, Maogosha Pyjor is struggling to keep this non-profit community service alive, when its principle and contribution to the environment seem so indisputable. Creating a model for sustainable transportation isn’t always easy, but there is a need for it, and by visiting Europe, North America, Columbia and China, Maogosha finds visionaries and a multitude of different models of bike sharing that have found their place in big and small cities alike. It is fascinating to see how people perceive bikes in different parts of the world from being a recreational “toy”, to a means of survival. Cities need more bikes and less cars for so many reasons – there just needs to be an efficient plan to make it work. This beautiful documentary will make you want to pedal home.
